New Forest Fish & Shellfish in Mudeford
Where we serve
Mudeford
A former smuggling harbour at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour. The Haven Cottages (also known as the Dutch Cottages) on the Quay date back to around 1687, among the oldest buildings there. The stretch of water at the harbour mouth, known as The Run, has a long history of salmon fishing. A Royal National Lifeboat Institution station is based at the Quay today.
This is where New Forest Fish & Shellfish’s own boat, Poppy, operates from and lands her catch — dad’s office, as he calls it.
