New Forest Fish & Shellfish in Brockenhurst

Where we serve

Brockenhurst

The largest village in the New Forest, with signs of habitation going back to the Bronze Age. Ponies and donkeys still roam freely through its streets under ancient commoners’ grazing rights. The village was home to Brusher Mills, a New Forest snake-catcher who lived as a hermit in the forest and caught an estimated 30,000 snakes over his lifetime — his grave is in St Nicholas’ churchyard and the local pub, The Snakecatcher, is named after him. The railway reached Brockenhurst in 1847, giving it a direct line to London and turning it into a gateway for Victorian visitors to the Forest.

New Forest Fish & Shellfish delivers into Brockenhurst as part of its reach across the Forest.
