New Forest Fish & Shellfish in Christchurch
Where we serve
Christchurch
Built where the rivers Stour and Avon meet, on the site of a Saxon minster church. The town was originally called Twynham, meaning “place between the rivers.” Christchurch Priory, begun in 1094, carries the local legend of the “miraculous beam” — the tale that the building materials mysteriously moved overnight to the site where the Priory now stands.
